Droid Engineer Archive

Hi everyone,

Some of you may remember me from the forums or in game on Naritus. I played this game constantly for months. I hadn't played in over a month til last night, when I logged on and gave all my stuff to a friend, and this weekend I'm giving him my CD's for the game. My account is active til February, but I will not renew it.

For a long time, I was very hopeful that Droid Engineering would get better. I slowly realized this would not happen in a reasonable time frame. Now, I am glad that Droid Engineering is a half-implemented profession because my disappointment with it hashelped me to stop playing this game. I played it way too much, and my life suffered because of it. I am much happier now that I do not play it anymore. Their system of resource harvesting and shifting, as well as Merchant bugs, rendered it a necessity to play the game almost daily if not daily, in order to keep up and play most efficiently. I got sucked into this big time and lost perspective on what are the more important things in life.

Iwas a Master Droid Engineer, worked my way up completely by myself, selling crafts I made then selling droids, harvesting resources, grinding mousers then frames--you know how it goes. Though I played the game too much and let it take over a big part of my life, I enjoyed meeting many people in the forums and in game. I encourage you all to try to play this game in moderation if you continue to play it, so as to avoid the problems I faced with it.

I think most of the people I knew in this forum have moved on, as I am doing. There is a new crop of DE's hoping for changes now, and I wish you luck. I will still check the forums to see how you are doing. To Cameo, Arrikkyo, PhilDawg, Kurai, AmbassadorFrito, and even Zina, who once was a DE, Peace to you and your families! Sad to see one of the ol' timers go

Good luck Cyprian ....Perhaps in the future things will look a bit brighter for DE's and you'll be inclined to return. Of course real life issues are more pressing than in game (or at least they should be against SOE's wishes),got keep it in perspective.
