Thread: Some BE Non-CH Pet Stats
Here is my rabbit (Vir Vur)
CL 9, 6188 HAM, 20% resists to all, dizzy attack and strong poison (although these don't work right now, bug in the specials)
I admit this is a powerful pet and much better than the prenerf probot and the pre-patch pets. I am very glad the BE's got something neat to play with and I think they should be able to make viable non-CH pets as well as the ultra CH pets. The current wild non-CH pets aren't worth squat, except for the mounts, there needs to be a median for what they can make and what is really too powerful for a non-CH pet to use.
I know I am going to get hosed out of Mr. Hoppy who cost me a mint, but he was fun while he lasted. Now bring on the droids so I can keep the Desert Demons at bay while I get to my harvesters.
Why should a DE care about BEs I know I am much more afriad of a Rancor than I am a probot. Hhmmm come tot hink of it so were Luke and the rest of them.
yeah man i thought BE was soooooooo cool when i bought my gurreck this weekend.
9k ham, 250dmg 38% resist, poisen
I LUVER HIM! I will cry if they nerf him. I sell my bots all the time, specifically the probots. My 12k low level probot is wasy cheaper then a 60k gurreck most people dont have the money for. Only the powergamers or crafters have money for that AND crafters need tanks lol whent hey run to harvbestors!
From a CH
I have two gurecks level 10
1)50% resists to all AR0 9k ham dizzy/strong poison 220 dmg
2) 47% resists to all AR1 10k ham dizzy/strong poison 220 dmg
You know, I really don't mind these stats if the CL was relative to the stats. As it is, the CH who posted this on the Intrepid forms says he uses BE'd non-CH pets to save himself the character levels.
They replaced the CH non-CH pets, with even stronger BE non-CH pets. Reminds me of replacing the probot with non-CH pets back in the early days. Hell, these BE's pet stats are way better than the original probot ever was and anyone can use them.
Happy for the BEs, sad for DEs. That said, I really hope the new "combat modules" have as much flexiblity in them as BE pet creations do. This will curtail cookie cutter droids for sure.
READ the BE forums before you start crying foul. These pets were made using an exploit (or a bug depending upon how you want to see it). As I understand it, DNA was taken from a kamurith, a creature that has very poor armor but a lot of HAM. This poor armor screws up its CL modifier. Once this DNA is used in a Bio-engineered pet and then experimented upon, the stats become WAY out of whack with its CL. I would suspect that this would be fixed in the next patch.
Calm down man. You always seem to be the first overreacting to just about everything.
DEs are on the verge of a rewrite. Sit down. Be patient and wait. Everything will sort itself out. There's enough whining and complaining on this forums as it is.
In defense of Sodan, he has been posting to this forum for a long time and he does bring up valid points.
What will happen is this Sony will give up four new lame droids, and one "out of balance" droid. Everyone will want the droid that they say is out of balance and then nerf the hell out of all of our "new" combat droids.
Yes we should all wait for what SOE rolls out, but they say the END of February is the first sign we are going to see anything on the live servers.
Me, I'm not wasting my time waiting, started a medic on a "buddy" account. At least with the Doc I can do something other then just checking harvesters and watching the dust gather on the droids I built.
VERY disgruntled Master Droid Engineer.
This is a bit of a heated topic for some of the TC BEs. Many have begun to refuse to offer some of these Uber Non-CH pets, since thereis obviously a bug in the crafting system still. From what I have read, the Creature Levels are not reporting correctly during the creation of some BE pets. Instead of your first example being a CL10 pet, it should be a CL 20ish pet. Instead of your second example being a CL10 pet, it should be a CL 35 pet.
Once the CL reporting issue is addressed, I'm pretty sure that everyone that has one of these Uber pets won't be able to call them, unless they have the appropriate skill.

You know there's a nugget of useful information in your reply here and that much I appreciate. Why you had to wrap it in a personal attack is beyond me.
It's a fact that BE'd pets today are better than pre-nerf probots ever were and better than pre-nerf non-CH pets as well. Whether this is a bug, exploit or feature I can't speak to, but I know that some balance needs to be placed in the equation. If you disagree, I would like to see you refute it.
If you had READ my post, you'd see that I don't really mind the stats if they had a measured CL level to back them up. Indeed, I think DEs should be get a similar flexibility. How is this overreacting?
I've been an MDE since the summer of 2003. I, like my fellow DEs, am a shining example of patience. And I've contributed a lot of ideas to this forum while frequently calling for civility. I respect folks even with whom I disagree. I'd like it if you could focus your attention on the substance of my posts and not on your personal dislike of me. I promise to do the same, though I harbor no ill-will toward you.
Drashky, is this a known issue, as in the devs have stated they know about it? The BE changes, with CL lvls to match seem in line with recent dev changes.

You Droid Engineers stand to completely take the market for the non-ch crowd. There's a strong movement in the BE forums to not only fix the Kamu DNA bug, but to re-create the BE crafting system so absolutely nonon-ch pets of "any combat quality" can be created. Apparently anynon-ch witheven acrappycombat-able pet is unfair to the CH profession.
When I say "any combat quality" I mean ones where it might be 1-3 levels below it's wild CL. (With 1.5-2KHAM, 45-50 max damage, 5-10% in some resists.) NOT ones made with this bugged DNA. Afaik, these non-ch pets are well within what the developers wanted when they first informed us BE's that we'd be getting this update.
Unless I'm mistaken, your combat droids will be very much in demand, even if they aren't overpowered. So you all should be quite pleased even if what you get isn't as much as you'd have hoped for.

Drashky?
I haven't seen a DEV comment about it, but someone I know has had a discussion about it with someone that matters. It gets the heck /bugged out of it quite often, so the DEVs are aware of the issue. Whether or not they will comment on it in any amount of time is beyond everyone. Look how long it took for the Cluster Mod issue to be address here.
