Heya, all...
While await the info that starts to flow our way on new 'stuff', I thought I'd share a really freaky (and maybe amusing) roll-back story from last night.
It started at my house...where I'd just built an 'All-in-Wonder' R3 Adv unit (4 crafting modules, 110 Medical and droid repair). The client was there, picked up his droid and went on his merry way.
I decided to go resource shopping, since was very nearly out of a lot of things. So, I headed off to the Kor Vella shuttle to hop over to Coronet.
I get to Coronet and start digging through the bazaar by Shuttle B. After a few purchases of some local polymer, I got the now famous: "Connection to SWG Lost!!"

Okay...been there, done that. Disconnect. Wait for server to load. Relog.
Even before I get back in the game completely, I can hear the sound of torches. Huh?!?!? "I'm pretty sure there's no torches by the Coronet Shuttle B's bazaar terminal.", I think to myself.
When the game finally loads all the way, my fears are confirmed. I'm back at my house (about 1km NW of Kor Vella). "Wow...that's my farthest 'warp' ever. I musta just warped...hmmm...about 6.5km.", I muse.
I realize I got rolled back so I start to make my way to Kor Vella shuttle port again...with the oddest sense of deja vu. When I got outside my house, I opened the Datapad to generate my Swoop and....lo' and behold...
The R3 Adv I just sold was back!!!! SWEET!
I ended up selling him later that night to a guy for 90k.
The moral of the story: Not all rollbacks are bad.

Err... I don't see how this rollback was good. LOL Don't you still have to make one for your client? LOL

Ackis,
Nope. He still has his. I confirmed it before I got to the Kor Vella shuttle for the 2nd time.
Basically, from what I can tell, I just got lucky enough to get a copy of the client's R3 Adv when the rollback happened.![]()
(now...if only I could find a way to reproduce that, I'd be a true Master DE indeed.) ![]()

Actually had the same thing happen to me a while ago. If the person that had the original item wasn't on the particular server that happened to crash, then the item dupes. I ended up with an extra 20K of copper once from the same thing happening. I considered it payback from 20K of steel that I had lost a week previously due to a crash that I had never gotten back.

The best rollbacks are those that occur immediatly after using a holocron though. ![]()

Virtanis,
To further make you think...
I lost NO cash at ANY point in the entire story. Not 1 credit.
