Thread: Function of each droid?
Could someone please tell me what each droids purpose is?
(thanks in advance)
Well, except for the LE Repair droid ... which can't repair. Thats kinda unique

They can all do anything that any other droid can do. No droid has a unique purpose (aside from the Bounty Hunter droids).

Well it gets a little more in depth than that. We also have the Power droid, which can power other droids, just as long as it's not one of your droids and it can't power itself. And there is the binary load lifter which basicly can't do anything at all besides follow you around.
Correct and wrong at the same time let me explain....
The function of each droid is by what module is installed on each droid. Medical Modules allow for wound healing anywhere (but cantina). Crafting stations act as mobile Personal Crafting Stations. Then you have Item storage, and data storage (only stores factory schematics). Plus you have a Repair module (That does not work when installed on a LE Repair droid or Power Droid).
A Power Droid is the only droid with its own function that is to power other droids (but runs out of batteries itself). But as stated beforethe repair module does not work when installed on this droid.
Probots and the DZ7 droids have attack capablities (but soon other droids will share this function if installed)
The Item storage modules do not workin the Surgical, LE Repair, and the Protcol Droids.
I hope this was more helpfull
Oh I forgot the BLL it does nothing, it has no module sockets, just armor sockets. So people buy this for a walking billboard
So far the only droid i know of that can repair other droids is the R4 with a repair module. This might go for all of the R series but i'm sure it is the case with the R4.
Other things unique to different droids...
MSE go BEEP.
Power droids go GONK.
BLL go CLANK.
Humanoids (LE, Protocol, Surgical) can't be renamed.
Probots hum, a lot.
But the DZ70 is by far the most unique, for only the DZ70 has the ability to initiate combat with a gnort and not survive the first blow.
Actually the DZ-70 suffers the same fate as the Probot in that no mater what the Datapad states as its HAM, it still only has only 180 (810 or 820 in the case of the Probot) when you perform a mouse over on the doids HAM bar.
