Well, it beats grinding combat exp. I had loads of fun recently creating and promoting Sodan's Exotic DroidGarten on the Intrepid server. The official content may be lacking which sucks, but on the other hand player content can be quite fun. Also, made a number of sales since I have a vendor in the back which is not bad at all:

Its a hard life with the Galactic Civil War in progress. Gritty and grimy it wears on you, like one sand storm too many on Tatooine. Get away from it all at Sodan's Exotic DroidGarten, where clean lines and vines meet, where the droids and the flowers are in bloom.

Its costing me a fortune in water and hydroponic fluid, but Sodan's Exotic DroidGarten is now open to the public. Plants, droids and soon creatures from all parts of the galaxy, plucked like grapes from the vine, manufactured and assembled for your delight.

Take the shuttle to Giegen City, Tatooine. Type /waypoint 6156 7275 and head over the mountains to Bohemian Grove, a comfy village nestled where eagles nest. Escape the sand, savor the lush and take the Path to Steel Serenity.

Heh. Well, I've been grinding toward pistoleer with my alt. Just got tired of beating the crap out of creatures. This was a chance to be creative and expressive. Making connections too. I have multiple crafters supplying me with custommade plants, creatures and soon spices and food. (Moun Gold would look great if it was renamed Hydroponic Fluid and dropped next to a droid). I resell at a healthy mark up, but people buy them for decor and based on what they see displayed in the shop. There's so much money in the game, why not buy a Naboo ManEeater?

Good merchant exp from visits too. Anyways, lots of fun.

I always like it when people take the time to decorate their houses... having said that, mines only about 1/2 decorated right now... having issues with the cap of 250 items in a large house.

Secondly....'growing' Protocols? What are you, some kind of Vong guy (note: for those that don't know what this is, don't ask....it's too hard to explain.)

Lets see "garten" is German for "garden", appropriate for the plants and stuff. But the name also alludes to Kindergarten -- a very playful memory in most people's lives. Thus, the DroidGarten. Where droids appear to sprout as buds.

Can't wait to get droid vendors -- WED, power droid especially -- in there. There is a big party planned at Bohemian Grove. Hope to have the garden crawling with droids then.

It nice to kick back and chat in a colorful setting also replete with droids!

You know I'm at work Great being a tech monkey! Fix computers and browse the internet all day long! The biggest project I've had today was to try and get 4 monitors to work on my main computer all at once.

Sadly the count is still only 3 monitors running at one time. Think it may be time for an OS reinstall.

But getting back, I full well support your 'creative breakaway' matey! Strange and interesting places seem to be the cornerstone of the DE profession, and there have been some really good layouts as time has passed. This one definately rates up there as one of the tops

I agree. A lot of the best house/shop setups I've seen have come from Master DEs.

When I get my setup totally finished, I'll put up a similar 'check it out' thread.
