Thread: Question regarding personality chip effectiveness

After hand building an ADV LE, and slapping a personality chip in it, he didn't seem to want to speak too much, nor would he accept some of my patrol commands or a name.

Is this based off the Pchip effectiveness, or was it because after building this thing from scratch I got lazy and tossed a pathetically low Brain into him for the final assembly?

This was my 1st advanced build, and OMG, wow, **edit**, /pant, /rant, /mumble, /passout

That is indeed a massive amount of components.

I'm at a 2244 and not all the peices assembled were garbage, just got tired after about a half hour of fresh baking components. So like I said, the droid brain used in final was poor, the only other real bad brain went into one of 4 combat mods, and the personality chip wasn't the best quality. Does this affect the speach or command learning ability of the droid or is there something else that I didn't do properly? Yes he was charged.

nope, effectiveness has nothing to do with it... its one of our many bugs (or do the devs even consider it a bug since they never fix it?)

to expand a bit, they don't talk much in general (except in combat, then they can be pretty funny) and will not take a name.

I have read that some of the personality chips do not work. Has this been fixed yet, and is there an ETF (Estimated Time for Fixin').

Thanks,

HeHe, if you think the LE takes masive amounts of components - try mannufacturing large runs of R3's (50 or more) Now there is a lot of components. As for naming - YOU CANNOT NAME BI-PED DROIDS (I.E. protocol, surgical and LE repair droids) and as far as I know the Dev's have no intention of changing that As for personality chips, they really don't do much - I think they were thrown in just to give us more parts to craft so it would take longer to build a droid

Ok, thanks for the feed back. I dueled a PA mate with the tin can and almost whooped his spatula carrying arse, I had to heal my buddy so the droid wouldn't incap him. But no smack talking, so I guess it's just a lil more random then I thought.

An yea, I know, everything seems obscene to assemble. I heard the words while poking around but didn't come to grips with it till tonight.
