Im not really sure how this idea plays in with the ballance issues, but its something to throw out there anyway.

Would making combat droids have a limited amount of charges make it more acceptable according to combat ballance.

For example, say a droid deed has 10 charges, these droids will be constructed in the same fashion as other conventional droids. With the same or symilar subcomponents, etc, you get the picture. When a droid is "made ready" it enters the datapad the same way a normal droid does. The difference is this droid only has one life, when it is incapacitated it automatically dies, and a 2nd one has to be used off the same deed. This will also encourage the use of reconstruction and repair kits to keep it alive longer. And if this is a problem, make it so they cant be healed, but it would be nice to see some durability.

A spin off idea is that deeded droids only last alittle while, like an hour. After then it vanishes, and you would have to call another one. Whatever works.

When a deeded droid remains in the datapad it stays alive.

This might be a good idea for intermediate droids, circa lvl 25. This idea could be independant of any Droid Handler/DE hybrid path. As a temporary alternative to a more permant route.

when all droids are used the deed vanishes and you have to buy a new one.

The movies have showed us droids are expendable, and when they die they die in hoards, with hillarious consequences.
