Well,

My first thread in the DE forum. And my last for the next couple of months at the least.

Through this forum, I got to meet up with members of a profession that is quite unlike any other in SWG - Droid Engineers. You people are possibly the most erudite and polite bunch I've had the pleasure of encountering.

Through the barrens of publish 6 and the absolute hell of Publish 7, I was amazed at the restraint shown by members of this forum. The ideas generated, the proposals written and expanded upon - all these things said to me that "this profession is for me". I had started SWG with the intent of going DE for a while, but when I finally made it, the fit was so right for me that I stopped right here.

I went from giving droids away to friends all the way to having one of the largest droid businesses on my server. (Thank you, publish 8!)

I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and I give the credit to this forum and to our correspondent, TK.

I'm going to be putting my toon into cold storage for the next couple of months. The changes ahead are not what I envisioned for SWG, and I can only hope that subsequent publishes fix up or mitigate most of the damage I see coming down the road. In any event, I'm going to be wandering off for a while.

There are a lot of good vendor changes as well. Don't overlook those.
