Thread: MSE bowling (droid event suggestion)

I was comming up with events for my customer appreciation day party the other day (all droid related of coarse) and I stumbled upon one in particular that everyone seemed to love (once they got the hang of it), MSE bowling. The basic idea is you get 10-15 people to run around in a small area (I used the roof of my tatooine PA hall and it worked well) and have a smuggler or BH that has dueled everyone in the group send out a mouse droid and see how many people he can get with one droid. The event is pretty chaotic and crazy, but people love it (I think the ones getting blown up enjoy it more than the smuggler/BH). I highly recommend anyone looking for some kind of event to try this out, though make sure you've got a doc on hand or people can start getting tripple incapped.
Anyway, just thought I'd throw this out there for anyone thats board.

almost makes me wanna take up BH or smuggler.Just off the top of my head (**i never claim these are good ideas ) you could do droid races.... have a start and a finish line, use the get patrol points to make the 2, then have everyone hit "patrol" at the same time.... or perhaps rather than a race, more of an obstacle course? hmmm

Yes, we did races too, originally it was supposed to be BLL's only, but only 1 person brought one so I let other droids enter. I didn't do patrol points though, people had to walk their droid through (was more of an obstacle coarse than a race).
If anyone's curious as to the events I had for future ideas, here they are
Droid dance contest: See how good you can make your droid dance. There are a couple styles, some people made large intricate paterns of patrol points and used those, but my preferred way is to make a bunch of patrol points in a tiny circle (just tap an arrow key for each one) and have him patrol, this method only reall works for humanoids and load lifters though.
BLL races (described above)
Droid battle royal: Everyone duels everyoen else and sends their droids after eachother. pretty straightforward but can make for an entertaining time. I recommend using an area that is either fairly large or has objects the droids can't shoot through (so you can actually move the droids around for strategic advantages).
MSE bowling (explained above)

Watch for an increase on MSE bowling... I linked this thread in the Smuggler forum... and us smugglers are nutty enough to enjoy it...

yea.... smugglers are much more fun the BH's. Too many BH's just don't know how to have a good time.

be sure to leave some R2 units on the bowling area. the squeel those thing make when they go from MAX ham to zero HAM in one blast is quite entertaining!
