Ok, I just mastered Droid Engineer yesterday, and i love it!! My guild is ordering droids everyway i look and i'm having trouble making all the components and stuff quickly enough hehe.
But my real problem is this. I have been requested to make an R2 droid, or any other R droid, and it needs that have a med module, weapon/droid/gen crafting station, and a total of 10 storage spots. I don't have all the dam rare resources yet to make storage module 5 or 6, so i wanted to use two storage module 4's. I can't figure out if its possible to have 4 modules in a droid. I've looked at the FAQs, and it says that R3 droid for instance has 6 module spots? I can't put 6 into it. I dunno if i'm doing something wrong or what. But could someone help me with this?
Second thing, how the hell do you use the general module cluster thing, i can't remember exactly what its called. I made one with 3 modules in it, but i can only seem to put it in a protocol droid, surgical droid, and i think a few others maybe. But R droids can't take it, even though some of their slots say module package, which i understood to be the general module cluster thing. I get how touse the combat cluster one, but i don't understand this thing at all. Anyone help?
Sorry if this has been asked before, or is in a FAQ, i looked at them and didn't see anything, maybe i didn't look hard enough.
Thanks a ton guys

R2s, R3s, LE Repair Droids and Probots (i think that's all of them) use Combat Capable Socket Clusters not General ones.

Ok to put it simply, more details can be found by looking through the first couple pages of threads here.
You have modules and clusters.
Clusters come in Combat and General types.
Combat modules can ONLY go in combat clusters.
However, any other module (well except armor) can go into either Combat OR General.
R series, DZ70, Probots, and LE's take combat clusters.
Everything else takes general clusters.
Some droids take single modules AND clusters, that is how you get numbers like 4 or 5 modules.
So in your example, yas an Advanced R3 can hold 6 modules. First you put 3 modules each into a combat cluster, then you do it again for hte other modules. Then you put those 2 clusters into the droid.
For your droid, it would look like this.
Combat Cluster 1 = Weapon, Structure, and clothing crafting stations.
Combat cluster 2 = Food crafting station, and 2 level 4 storage modules. This should give you the 10 item storage.

Just to explain further, since i can't figure out how to edit my above post.
An adv R2 or Probot can hold 5 modules : 3 in a combatcapable cluster (doesn't need to have anything to do with combat in it - it's just capable of taking combat modules) and 2 seperate.
An adv R3 can hold 6 modules: 3 in each of 2 Combat Clusters.

Try using an advanced r2. 5 modules, the crafting station, 2 level 3 storage, and 2 level 3 med modules. I think that should max out the med rating and storage. Might be an option for you if that's all you need in there and can't make the higher level components right now.

I made 2,level 3 storage units all the time before I got factories cranking out. 10 item storage with it, no problem.

my understanding is 2 high quality LvL 3s OR 2 any quality LvL 4s equil one lvl 6 so it can be done with 2 lvl3s but 2 lvl 4s is safer and I beleave the Resouce incress is not that large(could be wrong though)

Thanks so much for the help, hehe. I had no idea about the combat module being able to use regular modules.

two level 3's will work if the rating for the two of them adds up to something more than 10 (a well experimented level 3 will have a rating of 6)
