Thread: Is Novice worth it?

Hi guys. I have a few extra points to spend and was considering Novice Droid Engineer as an option. My main reason would be to make the 37 power Bomb Bots for my BH. Would this be able to be accomplished at Novice?
Honestly I think droids are a huge part of the Star Wars Universe and they should be stronger. I'd love to see more effective combat droids like said Droidikas and even some transport droids of some type. I hope the Upgrade brings some nice stuff for you guys. I really think this profession should be an important part of the game and each player's every day gaming experience.

No - the exploding module cannot be made at Novice (although I suppose you could contract a higher level DE to make the modules for you....)

He would still have to take chassis 1 to make the Adv. MSE though. Novice would only get you a 1 module MSE for 20 max power boomers, at chassis one you get the Adv. MSE with 2 modules with a max of 40 power. This is provided that you get a MDE to make the Bomb modules for you.

It doesn't seem like ANY novice of a profession is really worth the points. Specifically crafting professions where experimentation points play such a big role. And since people generally only buy the best stuff that can be built, it seems like a small flaw in the system.
