Thread: Will DE's play a part in the new droid arms

Please take this as its meant, productive critizism not meant twards you but twards the people who deciede player base (paying customers) don't need to know. We are not asking for a resource list of the schmitics only for the very BASIC bit of information.
I hope SOE changes its policy in regards to this in the future. It is very annoying.

Quick answer: Because the expansion is not concrete yet. How would you feel if they said DE's would get cybernetics and then yanked it for whatever reason? I'm ok with speculation for now. Besides...RotW is only like 1.5 months away...

And that is exactly why I am asking. It is less than what 6 weeks away and we still don't know. To me that is absurd... why play the waiting game? Just to push out content that the entire player base has a bad reaction to? Wouldn't it be more wise to "test the waters" first and make changes as needed before its too late to do so? This is the model I would prefer they use instead of the current "Doesn't acknowlege users needs and then changes everything because 100's upon 1000's leave the game.
I am sorry but if you are right and they do not know who is FOR SURE going to be creating these, if they have NO plan then we will see another bugged uodate/release. Personally IMHO its a flawed design to throw out content before consulting with their customers. Thanks for addressing my point.

Absolutely. That's why they have a beta test cycle with actual gamers.

Its a marketing thing more than anything else. They build up a good relationship with news sites by giving them exclusive press releases on upcomming info (which is why the expansion was first announced on IGN). Its too political for my tastes, but I can understand it/see the logic behind it.

Don't forget that the 'THEY' in this case are the people down at LucasArts and not those at SOE. It would appear that LA has been pulling the threads a lot more recently, while SOE is blamed for their actions.
