Just wanted to say a quick hi to the forum! I am relitively new to the prof and am a new 12 pointer. Look forward to giving advice and more likely receiving it!

I'm a 10 points DE, how can I become a 12 points? by getting FS crafting skills?

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. The only benefit to being a 12pt DE is that you can make somewhat better repair kits and stimpack dispensers and that's it. That's all good but to be a 12pt DE you need clothing and armor attachments totaling over +20 to droid experimentation and this can cost you upwards of 25 million creds. Each 10 points of experimentation gives you another point of experiment to spend when crafting.

But ya never know what the future holds. DE Experimentation may play a big role if we get cybernetics.
