With the combat upgrade and the possibility for everyone to use stims without the novice medic skill box do you think stimpack dispensors droids sales will fall?
I personally agree with the devs' choice but now we probably must begin to consider the stimpack dispensor module as we do for the structure manteniance one

We are slowly loosing everything we gained in the 2 droid publishes last year.

I've been wondering the same thing. We also don't know what Stim As will be like after the CURB or what the stimpack dispensors will actually be able to use. They may still have limited use since you may still be able to turn on a macro and have the droid keep healing you while you concentrate on other things. Also the droid doesn't drain your mind like using stims yourself does.

Of course this brings up the question of how will the windup/cooldown affect these droids. If they aren't subject to the same timer as players are it could help compensate some for anyone being able to use the new stims. Also since everyone can now use stims maybe they'll let relax the requirement for knowing Pharmacology 4 to load the droid.

So many questions, it's hard just waiting for answers when so much is changing and trying to find something positive to hope for.

I think the main problem with the droids is that no one knows about them, so rather than keeping them droid functions the devs just add it in for players. How many people really knew about the structure maintenence modules? Not many I'd guess. Not many know about the Stim Dispensor either. I have NEVER had a custom order for anything with a Stim Dispensor, nor have I sold the 2 premade ones that I have on my vendor.

The stim droid was one I've never been able to sell, nor have I received one custom order in 14 months.

Really? I recived orders for it when I still wasn't able to craft them

So it seems we'll have to wait for the cu to see, maybe there'll be still perople finding it useful

What I wanna know is why anyone would want them? What use are crappyStim A's that someone is gonna shell out the money for a droid thatdispenses them? I'm not much into combat but it seems to me that they don't heal enough to make a difference.

I think the biggest problem with stimpack droids is that people don't know about them. After being master fencer/master doc for a long time it was hard to adjust to being a crafter/merchant with very limited combat skills and no healing skills. Surveying and checking harvestors was quite a challenge. So I decided to try playing around with and using droids since I was now a MDE and figured how better to sell my droids than to actually use them and learn what they could do.

I like to use and advanced R3 with a mix of combat and stimpack modules. I can get a droid with some combat ability that heals every few secondsusing 99 point stim As. Using a macro to have the droid heal me every few seconds with cost to my mind points has made the difference between life and death for me many times. I rarely bother getting buffs since i'm not doing any serious combat and usually just wear some Ubese armor. I don't take on serious mobs but can handle a lot more than I could on my own and it's been fun to take up the challenge of finding out just what I can handle. With the combat ability the droid is not only healing me but taking some of the pressure off me since it's taking some of the attacks instead of everything focusing on me. Also helps to avoid deathblows after incap if the mobs have something else to keep fighting.

I think there could be more of a market for them for people how can think outside the box. They're helpful for crafters checking harvestors or factories on the edge of town, new players or people changing combat templates. I gave one to my husband to use when he became a Jedi and it's saved him many times as a low level Padawan.

However, people don't ask for them. We have to use the droids we make ourselves and figure out the best ways to use them and then work on getting the word out. That was one of the main reasons I became a DE, I kept wondering just what droidswere good for and it seemed like the only way to really find out was to make some myself and try them out.

Unfortunately they do take a little extra effort to use so I'm not that hopeful we'll get a lot of Dev attention since they seem to be trying to make things as easy aspossible for people, but I can hope.

Has anyone tried to load them with any of the new stims yet, like the aroma screens etc? From what i know they just have to be the same type so it may work.... it may

Well, while stim A's may be weak, the fact that you can use them much faster than a doc can normally unload stims means you can still get pretty good amount of heal in a short amount of time. A nice R3 will dispense the stims at around 1 per second, decent stim A's are about 90 heal, so you're looking at almost 1000 health every 10 seconds.

I've done everything to move these droids. They never sold. I have a HIGH amount of sales with known vendors on three planets and they flat out were my worse selling droid since I didn't sell one.

I ended up giving away the 15 I had to guild members. Those guildies either don't use them now, or they had to delete droid because they felt they were useless.

NO one buys them now. I have the crates of stims on my vendors that have never sold and the few droids I did sell for stims, no one uses.
