Thread: Confirm this quick, To be a Jedi you have to be a Brawler?

I copied this off my PA site. It is said the holocron stated:

"A mysterious voice says "In order to continue your path to enlightenment, you must learn Master Brawler"

If this is true this is insane!!! However, this might be the voice you hear once you do the "thing" you do to get a character with FS powers. Even at that, wouldn't Fencer make better sense?? Wasn't Anakin a droid engineer and a pilot?

So to become at peace with the force, to learn control, you have to learn how to beat people up?? Well, I guess it does make perfect SOE sense.

And the answer is.....

Maybe!

You may want to dive into the Jedi board. You'll find lots of theories to chew on there.

I think it is different for each person. If that was your holocron that means that YOU have to become a master brawler. If not, find your own holocron. Maybe you have to master DE.

I don't know if this really belongs on the DE forum, but I may have an answer to that question anyway.

Btw, congrats on whomever found the holocron.

Skill flags are a popular theory on opening the FSCS. The holocron may have been giving the owner a clue as to which skills he needs to learn to trip the skill flag needed to open FSCS. There are probably several skill flags, so once he does master brawler, he'll need to pursue some other skill set to trip another flag. The skill flags are random for each character, so a different player may be told to master some other professsion.

Hopefully it's not DE or Chef or SL, for their sake.

Do you know where you find these holocrons? Also, do you have to find it yourself, or can you get one from another player? Going to check the jedi board, but if you know, please inform. I know this is off topic for DE board, or may not be, since we all have a chance to become one.

It's not so much a matter of "What Anakin was" or "what your friend heard when he/she read their holocron". As was stated in previous responses here, each account has a different set of criteria that they must achieve in order to activate the FSCS. This is by design so that hoardes of people are not all doing the same thing at the same time over and over again (think EQ's Epic Quests--at least they learned ONE lesson). The question is: are the requirements that you are tasked with worth it based on where your character is presently? It would not surprise me to learn that they want to take you on a tour of professions in order to unlock that slot, therefore you could potentially be doing a lot of training/giving back skills. Then again, skill mastery/achievement is supposedly only one aspect needed to unlock the FSCS and there are (in theory) others as well that must be accomplished before that slot becomes available.

One thing that needs to be remembered is that holocrons only give HINTS as to how to get the FSCS. They are not going to tell you outright what needs to be done to get the FS char...

Yeah, I can't wait to see 500+ Master Chefs/Dancers etc. per server, all running around confused now because they don't know the next step towards FSCS

This is ridiculous...

If I find my "holocron" after I achieve Master BH (which, I might add, is an incredible amount of playing time) and it tells me I need to be something like a Master Tailor.. one of two things is going to happen

A) They'll have added interesting things for MBH's to do (ie. player bounties, more intelligent NPC marks)

B) Quit.

But there is no way I'm going to just sell back hours and hours and hours of work (Inv. 0-4 takes something like 200 hours of playing time if you grind) because my account isn't "flagged" correctly.
