I apologize if these questions are answered in other threads. I've done quite a bit of searching and I haven't found the answers I was looking for. The other two sites I've used as references are http://www.cybra.net/cdc/index.phpand

Stupid space bar!

OK, as I was saying, the other two references I've used, in conjunction with the forums are http://www.cybra.net/cdc/index.php and http://www.jveedroids.com/.

1. It appears that the standard R2 and R3 units start with the same number of module and defensive slots. Why is there an apparent cost difference? Does one droid have a longer battery life than the other?

2. Why do droids have defensive slots if they have no offensive capabilities? Do people take their R2 units into battle with them? I'm sure there are reasons, I just can't think of any.

Again, I apologize for the "newbieness" of these questions, but I'm in the market for a droid and I just want to know my options. Thanks!

1. The difference in price is because of the amount of materials and because the R3 requires some identical factory made parts.

2. I assume some people do have them trailing after them as they run into battle, but mostly I think it's there mainly to just try and help protect them from any "surprises" that may happen. Especially since it's a pain to keep finding a place to pull out droids.
