What do you think about the concept of a domestic droid.. one that would respond to pet commands like come, stay, and something like "meander/release."

You'd use a domestic droid deed in your house and the droid would constantly be inside wandering around as a kind of complex decoration. It wouldn't be purely ornamental. I have droid chassis of all sorts in my crafting facility now by my crafting stations and whatnot that look like they're at work.

You could call it to you when you wanted it and use it as an item storage device or a data storage device for crafters... Things like schematic slotsand whatnot.

This could also open up avenues for decay of things like functionality rating on private crafting stations. Domestic droids with repair modules would be one wayfor a crafter to keep his/her stations in top working order. The droids would have auto repair if their repair module level was high enough and you would have to command a repair action if it was a lower level droid.

Droids would constantly replenish their power supplies from the building's power source, so batteries wouldn't be needed.

A more complicated addition could be a "fetch" ability where you tell it to go pick up an item with a certain serial number. I know that every fiberplast panel I create on a given schematic has the same serial. If I said to my droid "R2, fetch ouung5dc" and it ran to pick up a crate from a back room, that'd be awesome. I could also request for resources by specific name.. i.e. "Fetch Rirporbane" and it would come back with some good class 4 liquid petro fuel that spawned on my server if I had any in my house.

I'd also like to see more vocalizations for droids. Mine rarely speak.
