How do I have fun with this profession and not grind it? Are there certain droids that are actually in demand? It seems to me, at least on Starsider, that everyone who wants one already has one, and I'll just be spending money to buy components and resources

Hmm, protocols, R3 and R2... Probots are also in demand.

But all those is high up in the tree's some guys want MSE just for fun but your modules is really bad at novice level, and anyone buying a droid only buys one with max level.

What I did was to first grind the Blueprints tree and then buy components like modules and such from a Master DE and then assembled it to droids and sold them for a reasonable price.

Sorry, Thunderheart said this profession won't be fun for approximately ~6 months.

Ahh you poor soul....just goes to prove the Gods of Fate have a sense of humour

I don't know what to tell you, the only Droids ever 'in demand' if you can call it that are those with crafting stations in them or Med6 modules. Item Storage has a small market too. No decay means no repeat business so on established servers there is little opportunity.

I tried not to grind, but that was with a new character who was broke and had big problems getting the resources, If I were you I'd just grind away as fast as possible (see sticky above for method) because the real sales (such as they are) really only come at Master level.

Nothing we yet know about the upcoming patch is likely to change the picture, except to make it more difficult really.

Maybe others have a more optimistic view for you, but I'd rather you knew the sad truth. Good Luck !

You're not very heartening.

It annoys me that none of the crafting profs have a market unless they're master.
