With all this commotion over Driod Handlers, driods certifactions etc etc etc... I have come up with a few ideas of my own to work around this "problem" you tell me I'm a fool or you tell me I have good ideas either way there are still posted. I'm not sure if these ideas have already been posted and if they have, sorry for the repeat.
IDEA 1 : Mirror Damage
the /consider system is base off your skills and the weapon you carry aswell as a few other factors. What I propose is to have your combat driod mirror your damage. The Driod engineer would now not experiment up the dmg on the driod but rather a modifier that would multiply the damage done by the player who is in control of it. These number could be played around with but I was thinking the max would be 1. The rate of fire could then also be based on the players current attack speed.
IDEA 2 : Profession Specific
Each novice profession could get there own driod. The master would get and adv version of the same novice driod. This might take time to create but all the arguing is taking time and nothing is getting done. Melee classes might get driods that can either heal them or possibly ease the HAM costs at a price of the driod doing less dmg then a ranged characters driod. This would allow the DEVs to control the amount of dmg done by each driod. And then instead of having to nerf the profession they can just change the driod, if a combination was found to be too strong.. they didn't seem to mind making TKAs stronger when they were already by far the strongest melee class.. oh not for the DE forum. This idea would be alot like EQs familiars or whatever they were called i never played it. Each driod would be more or less tailored to help there profession, not just deal big damage.
----
I have read the idea for a point system suggested by the correspondant. This idea also makes alot of sense. Mainly because as you progress in the world of SW you would have more and more exposure to driods therefore by the time you master you should have a certain ability to use different driods. Classes that have actual exposure to driods should get a bonus like BH.
These are just some ideas to throw out there with the other 100000 of them
take care i'm sure they'll work something out and everyone will still complain
