Thread: R3 adv. chassis problem

Is there anybody else who has problem making a R3 adv. chassis? I have a factory crate with 11 adv. droid brains in my inventory, and it won't let me insert them into the schematic. All the other components are working fine. Am I just too stupid, or is there a new bug?

It's sounding like a new bug.

Yes, just had the same problem trying to make R3 ADV Droid Chassis, My advanced Droid Brains are not being recognised as a valid component. The R2 ADV Droid Chassis (which requires 1 advanced droid brain) works fine, as does the protocol droid (chassis and basic model)

Just had an order for a custom R3 as well

Everyone needs to be /bugging this stuff.

I've already put the basics of the issue up on the Corr. boards but this might be something that will get resolved after tomorrow's fix/update or via the server restart.

Hmm. not having the same problem here.

I'm using adv droid brain crates I made pre-patch. Having no problems inserting them into R3 adv chassis.

Just Like Storex.
Using pre-patch crates, just made an adv R3, works fine.

My adv. droid brains are post patch- and I can't make new ones now, it seem to be the same problem, my crates of GP and EMM are no valid components now...

I've seen that some other Corrs. are reporting this too...so it's not just a DE issue, it seems.

Sounds like part of the crafting station back-end may not like some of the crates that are floating about out there.

....if I can get a specific method/information to reproduce this issue from someone (with as much detail as possible), I can fast-track this via the Corr. boards.

Edit:

This is really starting to look server-specific.

There are a BUNCH of Corrs. actively tracking this right as we speak. It's been noted:

Servers reporting problems: Chilastra, Bloodfin, Ahazi, Eclipse, Bria

Servers apparently ok: Scylla

set up my factory to make adv R3 chassis early this morning. when I logged it had made 5 and was still working. seems to be fine for me (on Kauri).

all of the sub-components had been made post publish 8. I had a "factory accident" a week before the publish and lost my factories and all the crated items within them, so I've no pre-publish crates lieing around. biwan:

If anyone can get me very detailed info on being able to reproduce this bug, I can help to get it in front of eyes of the Devs ASAP.

Runesabre has posted an announcement that they are aware of issues with using factory crated parts and are working to resolve this.

More information and details would very likely be quite helpful.

I just got an anwer from CSR:

"Currently this is a known issue with crafting schematics not accepting identical components in the correct manner. I apologize for the inconvenience of the situation, and can assure you that development is aware and working on this matter, in an attempt to correct it as soon as possible. Currently Customer Service is unable to actively assist in this matter, however a fix for this error will be released soon in the near future."

I already reported this bug.

Correct. A CSR has also informed me that they DO know about this issue (as it's 'hitting' a lot of people) and are working on it.

There is apparently no ETA for any kind of patch/hotfix.

I've had no problems today so far on Sunrunner -- but the servers reporting problems, if I'm not mistaken, are the ones that were brought down this morning to test a fix for "server instability". I'm terrified they're gonna bring down Sunrunner to install the same "fix". /sigh
