Greetings All !
Bought a new droid the other day... a 3P0 unit.
Well, despite the fact that I've taught him a bunch of commands... using a name in front of the command... when you look at him, you don't see that name !
It's like he hasn't picked up on it or something. Still says "a 3P0 protocol droid".
What am I doing wrong ?

I remember some of them were/are bugged to where you couldnt name them(of the protocol type droids). Also you cant have numbers in the name and it must be under 25 or 20 spaces in length for it to take.

I dont think the bug where you cant name a 'converse' droid has been fixed yet

the main thing your doing wrong is not asking this question to the DE that created the droid for you. Or did you ask the droid's creator and get a response like "Sorry <your in-game name> I just finished grinding the profession 2 days ago and am now learning how to figure out what they do. LOL BTW how would you like to buy a survey droid? Anyone can use them and they're only 2k each" ?
No one answer this question directly. I'm taking names and writing them down.

You really are talking to the wrong DE's if they aren't able to answer this for you.
Bascially any droid that you converse with instead of program, cannot currently be named. This is a huuuuuuuuge issue for us DE's and one which we constantly badger the devs about, but we always get a response that says something along the lines of "It's too hard to do coz it means someone has to get off their bums and actually look at the code...".
Every DE in all the galaxies should know this info regardless of how new to the job they are...
