Thread: More Maintenance Module Problems

Yes, its true, I am having trouble with the "fixed" module.

Let me clarify the problem as I see it.

The module works fine by itself.

The module works fine in a Combat Capable Cluster Module (I made an R2 with one to test)

The Structure Maintenance abilty seems to disappear when combined with another module that has its own submenu. (I made an R3 with storage, data, maint, and x3 auto repair. The Auto Repair shows up, the Maintenance does not). I have not tested it with Effect, Playback or Barker modules yet, since I cannot use any of them. The Maintenance rating disappears from the deed itself, during the final assembly. It listed fine in the module cluster, iirc.

postscript- could I get someassistance making a DE on Test Center in the next week or two?


To be ABSOLUTLEY CLEAR, I lay no blame by this, I totally understand how real life is of primary importance, but our normally diligent TC players kind of missed the window to test this thing. I am not saying they failed. I am not saying that I can do better. I just think that having another DE on TC would help in terms of a safety net.

I was getting this same problem yesterday. I think it may have to do with the amount of data the cluster can hold/display. Avoid doing item/data/structure cluster modules.

...as for your comment on testing these, we can always use more help. The reality is that the majority of us have businesses on Live servers that require our attention first. And if you've been nearly as busy as I have, you know logging into TestCenter is one of the last things on my mind.

Sorry, no that won't cut it. I just made another R2 with storage, Data, and Maintenance. I admit I only used a lvl1 data, and a lvl1 Maintenance (lvl6 Item storage though), but the deed displays correctly. I stand by my earlier assertion that the 2 new modules are interacting poorly.

I've actually gotten your above combination to work. The thing is, you have to put 2x auto-repair modules with the structure maintenance module. The 3rd goes with the item/data, and itcomes out fine. However, if you're doing a structure/item/data cluster and a 3x auto-repair cluster...it won't work. I can't put my finger on exactly what the problem is, but then again...I'm not the one with access to code. Before you ask, yes it's /bug'ed.

I'm having the same problem. I'm trying to create an R3 with Maint, lvl 6 med, food crafting, clothing crafting, level 4 item, and level 4 data. The Maintanence shows up fin in the cluster but then disappears from the deed on the final build. I did it twice because I thought I was just an idiot the first time and forgot it. Second time, I verified the cluster before I did the final build. I don't remember exactly what was in the same cluster as the Maint, but I do know the med was, I believe the item storage was as well, but I'm not 100% sure. I bugged it.

I had the same problem trying to do, Maint, Storage, Playback, and 3 effects modules.


Everything works fine except the Maint.



I can get Maint and Storage to work ok together, just not the entertainer ones.

I had built a R2 with a droid,/weapon crafting station and two level two maint modules, and could not get the maint modules to work.

Seems there is another bug too.


my DZ70 structure maint 3 module worked fine last night..had all 9 structures listed in it and it did it's thing fine.


Today (after server reset) it's lost all the structures (cant edit the list - there is no list) and it wont do another maintenance run.


Nor will it allow me to add a structure that it previously had on the list..it says that structure is already registered to the droid.


One thing I did do was lift a harvester it was registered to..and I wonder..must we remove that structure from the list before redeeding it..is that the problem and if so boo to the coding? Or is anyone else having this issue without a structure changing from yesterday.


As things stand right now, this is a useless droid. Is it just me having this problem?

I had the same Problem with a MSE with a structure droid, had my house and factory on worked fine one day then yesterday i cant get it to do anything. The pulldown struture options comes up but when I choose and option nothing happens, and its the only module in the droid.

yes. this is bugged. I did an R3 with 1 maintenance module and 5 auto-repair modules. I did it twice. In both cases, the maintenance module doesn't get translated into the final droid.


It wasn't even listed in the list of the droids abilities in the final crafting step in either case. The maintenance module did show up in the cluster module, and it was visible as being in the cluster module when I carried the cluster module into the droid, but by the time I got to the final crafting window, the maintenance functionality was gone.

yes. i have seen this bug also. if you redeed a structure that the droid is assigned to the droid's maintenance list breaks. frustrating, because the one thing this droid is useful for is keeping tabs on harvesters, which are constantly being redeeded. /sigh.

I was saddened by the Cluster Module juju problem, and the post activation poofage reported by Shian is even worse. I finally got an R3 to work with it last night (Oddly, the second cluster, with no maintenance module, listed Structure Maintenance Rating of 0 before I combined it into the droid).


As it stands, this is unsellable until I can test the problem shian reported. I was planning on making WED Tender droids today, but I'm just not confident yet.
