ok these aredumb questions, but I don't want to waste resources if I make a mistake..

About the crafting stations...

1. How do I make a droid with a crafting staion in it?

a) do I need to put an actual crafting station into the droid/module?

b) What slot does it go in?

c) how do I use clusters?

d) what is a cluster?

e) do I need to put the completed module into a cluster?

f) what slot does the cluster go in?

if you haven't figured it out, I don't craft too much as I'm mostly a combat character. I thought DE would be fun, but I feel overwhelmed with all the nuts and bolts. This is a confusing prof!

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm still learning myself to be honest...

Basically, you need to figure out which model you want to install the Station in. You can do "budget" models (consists of the Mouse and a Single Station, plus storage) or the Super deluxe model (R3 I think, with all 4 craft station, plus item and data storage for those schematics).

I am not sure about Clusters yet, since I'm only 3004 right now (almost ready to train to be 3204 and hopefully 3304 later tonight).

But when you get ready to build the droid, you need to have the station in question, premade already. Either in factory crates or individually.

As for where it goes, it should go in the General Module slot of the droid.

I have a Probot that has two craft stations built in it right now. Although I love my mouse as well.

*hrms* I thought I read somewhere about modules and such... Can't remember right now, ugh.

There is a sticky post above with links to guides that cover all the basics. They are what helped me sort it out, and you ought to look at them, as they are well written and useful.

a) You need a crafting station module crafted by a Droid Engineer, not a crafting station crafted by an Architect.
b) It will go in any service module or combat capable service module slot, or into a general droid module socket cluster or combat capable socket cluster.
c) Place three modules into the cluster and then place the cluster into the droid. Note that any module can go into a combat cluster but combat modules cannot go in general clusters. Also only combat clusters can go into combat capable droids (R-series & Probot) and only general clusters can go into non-combat capable droids.
d) A cluster is a module that allows you to place three droid modules into a single slot in the droid. Not all droids can take clusters. Check the wording on the schematic to see which droids take clusters.
e) Only if the droid accepts a cluster and you wish to fit as many modules into the droid as possible.
f) See answers to c) and d)
