Is this possible? If it is how does this work?

I only ever looked at this once, and I don't do enough GCW stuff to bother looking. What I do remember is after gaining 200 points in one of the factions you got an option to trade some of those points in training for skills, but if I remember correctly it may not have given the option of all the possible skills.

What is it with me and double posts today?

I wanted to add that you also have to declare yourself, not overt, but atleast covert.

It is possible, they go 1 for 1. Declare your faction take your missions, move up the ranks, trade them in at the Recruiter. You can make money while not grinding. This is actually how I am sponsoring the cost to all my materials. Please note although it is an option it is really slow, and combat skills are needed.

It's a hell of a lot easier to get 10k crafting xp than it is to get 10k faction points.

I think original poster wants Faction Points for crafting, not buy XP with FP. Unfortunatly, I dont believe its possible.

I have seen more and more posts like this over the past few weeks. It seems that a few people have claimed to have traded their excess xp in certain skill boxes for faction points. The same people claimed that this was accomplished by reaching the cap in a certain line of the tree - say blueprints, and then you could train that box and all excess xp could be turned into fp.

As there have been quite a number of postes claiming this I am beginning to wonder if there is some truth in the claims......
