Anyone figure out what it takes from Novice to Master? Considering MSE droids to Blueprints II then Advanced frame units from there to master.

Im just starting out, I have harvesters down on steel and fiberplast, just wondering how much I should stockpile for grinding purposes.
Thanks

for the ADF you need about375000 steel, and 175000 fiberplast i believe, not counting failures

Seems about right. Place as many as possible, wait a week to get ahead in steel and fiberplast, the rule is harvest until you think you have enough, then harvest some more. Then start grinding.

Ochadd,

Not to be mean, but why grind like that? You have to spend a large sum in resources, very very large actually, there is a market for some of our droids, especially seekers and arakyds. You can make seekers at Blueprints I and Arakyds at Blueprints III. They may not be as resource effective as the grind route, but atleast you can make some money selling them to offset your harvester costs, especially if you use smaller harvesters. Anyway, it will take 115,200 XP to get to Blueprints II, at 140xp per MSE, it takes823 or so MSE to make Blueprints II, add in some forfailure, and that is close to850 of them, requiring about 45,000 Metal and 13,000 Chemical, roughly. It takes 1,113,600xp for the balance, at 460 per ADFU, it takes roughly 2,420 of these to make master, adding in for failures and that would take you to about 2,600 or so, requiring: 390,000 steel and 182,000 fiberplast.

Good luck, especially with paying for it all.

Cereus, if you're grinding you can't possibly sell Seekers and Arakyds fast enough in single-unit quantities to use them for the grind. I found it to be far more effective to find a good Artisan Loop and run that while grinding ADFUs rather than taking the time to actually build and sell anything.

With a good Artisan Loop, you can earn about 100,000 XPs and 24,000 credits per hour, and that's without a macro. The limiting factor is resource input - I was running 7 harvesters at the time (5 steel, 2 fiberplast) and was only spending 30 minutes a day on the grind. This was back when heavies were rate 7 and mediums were rate 4... with today's harvesters it'd probably take an hour a day to grind up all those resources.

I agree completely with you. However I am a combat type and as you may guess a holo told me to be here. I have plenty of cash and I sunk about 500k into heavies, 3 mineral and 2 chemical, both on 90% spots. The only thing I plan on doing is hitting master and then run about 50 crates of BH droids, my chosen profession, and im outty. Thanks for all the responses, its appreciated.

your lucky that you get to do bh afterwards. i started off bh, used a holo it said tka, master tka, used another holo and it said bounty hunter... finally master bounty hunter, use another holo and it says droid engineer. right now i'm master droid engineer/artisan and i'm giving up. i'm gonna sit at this profession until i milk it for what it's worth (if it is worth anything). so far the only good thing i've made is an advanced binary load lifter with max armor and 1200HAM hehe, gimp as hell but looks cool. the only bad thing is, i got all 3 holos as a bh/tka and now i can't get another unless i buy it since i don't even have novice brawler or novice marksman anymore since mde/artisan takes up too many skill points.
