Thread: Bad business?
Don't give in to morons like that.
Btw.....have I mentioned I hate most everything about player cities and the way devs implimented them ?
I'd just ignore him.
Anyway... have you heard about the "vendors eating items" bug? Maybe your vendor was unstocked more than you think becuase of this bug...
There is also apparently a bug that displays the vendor as empty even if it has stock.
I'd just ignore this guy (litterally, use /addignore), take your vendor (and your taxes) to someone with less of an attitude (seems to me that player cities are all about people trying to throw their weight around anyway - I'll stay an independant thank you very much)
Don't bash the cities. They are actually a great game feature. The problem is, like EVERY other feature, there are going to be people who misuse it and only give the whole concept a bad name. This leads to nerfing.
Don't be so quick to judge the entire concept of player cities on a few idiot mayors.
The mayor in the first post is a great example. Not only would I be removing my vendor, but I'd be removing myself to another city.
Cities can be great for business. The crafters in my town LOVE the shuttleport. Business is booming. We are also a Manufacturing Center, which is a city specialization that grants +10 to assemblies. We are soon to be a Research Center which will give us a +15 to experimentation. (!!)
There are some great advantages to cities, if you are in the right one. If you aren't in the "right one", find it!
Aye. Just pick up and move. It's not worth supporting a citythat doesn't value what they have.
It's a pity there's no DEnet on eclipse. Otherwise I'd suggest putting a notice out to all droid engineers not to set up shop in that city.
