Thread: my thought for the DE profession as a doctor
it has recently bee suggested that languages would cost skill points and one would need a protocol droid to translate for them. i love this idea... however, as a doctor i need a surgical droid out to buff. so the problem is this:
how can i put people in a buff line if i cant understand what they are saying?
the solution:
protocol droids ONLY translate... DO NOT REQUIRE POWER as often as other droids, AND... DO NOT COUNT AGAINST PET LIMIT CHECKS! this means i could have both my surgical droid AND protocol droid out at the same time.
one more idea:
each language would require a different module... this would increse DE profit as they would have to put more work into the droid.
Of course the advanced protocol can also hold two modules, so you could use a protocol with 110 med and food/chem craft and only need one droid.
The real point is protocols should translate, not that you need additional droid out capabilities.
