Ok, I've been trying to find out through searches and I'm coming up with nothing, and I don't see this explicitly referred to in our centralized issues.
Basically, I made a surgical droid with a medical module and a crafting station, and the medical function didn't work. At all. The droid shows up as having no functionality at all when examined. It was a bit embarassing, having to take it back. And then the next day I made another medical droid, this time a dz70, and the medical module works like a champ. Is this a known issue that I've overlooked in the sticky posts, or something else?
Thanks in advance, and thanks to Drashk and the rest of you for providing all of this good information. I'm a DE for the long haul and enjoying the flogging.

maybe you put two stations in without realizing it. everything does look the same. I know ive been clicking away madly only to hit commit and realize that i was a little overzealous. the med module is probably the only module that works consistantly. Probably cause it helps those in combat...

No, it was a level 6 module. And I'm pretty positive that I put the right stuff in, but I'm not sure. Whatever happened, I messed it up pretty well, apparently! I'll try another one today and see if the same thing happens; if it happens again I'll let everyone know. As long as I know it's not a known issue I'll keep trying. Thanks!

I've never had a problem with my surgical droids. And I've used level 3-6 modules. In the earlier days I used more than one module. But the MCR always showed up correctly.

my guess is that you accidentally put a Level 2 item storage module in because at the current time the Level 2 item storage modules are incorrectly marked as Level 2 medical modules.
Are you using level 2 modules?

The actual surgical droid chassis is bugged. Mine has crafting, medical, item storage and datapad. The medical works but I can't access the item storage or datapad. There's mention of this problem with surgical droids in one of the stickys at the top of the forum. So I make Advanced R4s as basic medical droids (crafting, medical and item storage) for the time being.

I sold an adv. surgicial droid (my second ever made) a few days ago and the guy who bought it can't get the medical things to work. It has a FC crafting station and two lvl 4 med's. So your not the only one -_-
