Thread: Socket cluster question

I'll put them in another droid occasionally. I figure, if it's considered an exploit, then a CSR will ask me what I'm doing, and at least that means they know it shouldn't be that way and might fix it. I don't do it all the time, as it'd be resource intensive to put 3 level 6 modules in every slot I can put a module in.

Well a 2-1B Surgical Advanced at least. It calls for the Cluster, not individual modules...

Since we can assume that nesting them inside each other is a bug...and the slots in a general module cluster are the same as a standard socket in a non-cluster droid...it's probably safe to assume that it's a bug to be able to place clusters in non-cluster slots?

However, that's working off the assumption that nesting them is a bug

I know that general module socket clusters can be installed in any droid module socket. Setting aside the nesting exploit, is putting one in anything besides an R2 or R3 droid a bug? I mean, is it something that's likely to be fixed, rendering droids that were built with clusters that shouldn't have been, broken?

Good question, I'm not sure we've ever received clarification on that issue (or most others).

This is a very good question, and one I would also like the answer to.

I don't stack cluster modules, but I do use them.

I would hate to have every droid that I have sold for the past few weeks suddenly cease to work (and no, I don't sell MSE's - I hate them.)

I just reached 3/0/0/3 in DE and have a question regarding socket clusters. It looks like they can hold 3 service module harness so what would be the max storage capacity if I use 3 lvl 4 storage modules or what would the med healing be if I used 3 lvl 4 med modules? The FAQ's stickied at the top says you can stack 2 lvl 4 modules to get the effect of one lvl 6 module. So if I put 3 lvl 4 modules in a cluster I suppose I am wasting one module??

Can you pleaseprovide some guidance. I just got 3/0/0/3 before I logged off last and am anxious to try this out when I get home from work tonight.

Yes, that would be a waste... SOE has hard capped item storage at 10 items, no matter what the configuration, number, or quality of modules you use.

10 items in a droid, period.
