Thread: What actually changed on the Protocol Adv?

Dunno, I think it said something about allowing or disallowing a socket cluster. But since I feel that Protocols are as worthless as BLL's, I didn't pay attention. Besides we all know that the R-series are the only real Droids.

I don't believe there was any change made to the Advanced Protocol Droids. Cluster modules were fixed so they could no longer be used in slots intended for general modules, but that'sa fix on cluster modules and affects all droids across the boards.
Standard Protocol Droids, however, did receive a slot for a service module giving them some form of use now. Maybe that's what you were reading about.

I did notice the regular Protocols mentioned, but it seemed worded to include the Adv Protocol. I hadn't ever heard of any changes to them so it was confusing.
It didn't seem like anything had changed either.

I also thought that Both Adv. and basic Protocol droids would get an extra slot. Nop, the Adv. Protocol remains unchanged, and the basic BLL is just as useless as ever.
