Thread: Another Exploit Bites The Dust
i was going to reply to that thread with something along the lines of "oh so the official position of SOE is to selectively enforce exploits that people may or may not know they are exploiting" but couldnt find a witty way to say it.

Maybe 'cause you're an exploiter. You're trying to exploit the English language by saying something when you really meant something else. ![]()
Or does that mean you're a word duper? ![]()

Exploiter!

speaking of weirdo bugs (and feeling completely safe about posting on it as I know Devs don't read this board) I have a question: Does anyone else still get the 'change colour' option on their composite armour? I thought they were going to remove that.

Oh yes, it's like the fact I have hair. Obviously having hair and multicoloured armour gives me an unfair advantage in the game over those lesser suckers out there.
I can't even wear armour, exploiter. You need nerf.
Exactly.

Like ive said before, soon its going to be an exploit to log into the game, because other players arent able to play at the same time you do.
I have a problem with people accepting SOE's definition of exploit.
Exploiting is hacking the client to feed false data.
Exploiting is not trapping a creature on building because the AI Pathing is so poor that it cant figure out away around it.
I dont know why MMORPG get off so easy on technical problems. Having 1 or 2 game bugs in a single player game is enough to drop reviews to 1 star and the game go into the bargain bin. SWG has 1000s of bugs and it merely gets "has great potential". Can you imagine any other game allowed to get away with poor collision detection?
Here's an idea for a monthly theme. "We fixed all our damn bugs" event. Just like the vehicle paint job. Is it any wonder that they take a broken system (droid painting), copy it, make a few changes, and be surprised when there's problems. Maybe if they fixed the core system first, the derivitives would work.
LOL, I have been saying these things since beta.
It's true - "exploits" are simply bugs that benefit players, and "issues" are bugs that harm players.
Some people who have played other MMO's like EQ and UO seem to have been brainwashed into this type of thinking.
As to the cluster module thing - never effected me in the least. I didn't use it, and since I usually have more business than I have time to do it didn't hurt my sales at all.

I'm a word duper... everytime I type in a select sequence of characters from the keyboard, another word appears!!!![]()
Hey, I make up new words, is that an exploit?
Then, if you use my new words, you're a doubloiter!
See? There's a new one right there! Take that, Devs!
