Ok. I promise everyone, non-DEV style, that this will be my last post on this point. I know my opinion is unpopular and that probably less than 1% of the DEs out there see it from my perspective, so after this, I will drop it.

I understand that we've been seeing promises broken since beta. I, admittedly, was not around at that time but I understand that it was happening. I started showing up on the board right around the time of the probot nerf. I've been an active reader of this forum ever since.

As such, I knowmost ofthe trials that we have gone through. I have participated in them. I have debated them. I have become as pissed off as the rest of you. So I'm not saying that the DEVs should not have to answer for their mistakes or, that they should be allowed to flippantlydiscard promises they have made.

What I am saying is that it's a moot point to keep reminding them that they said we'd be the focus of January. January's gone. The patch has been released. No amount of arguing, griping, or whining will cause time to rewind so that they can make good on their word. We should focus on what's coming NOW. What they're promising NOW. Keep on their backs, hold them to their word, but for goodness sake let the old arguments die.

Right now, as of this moment, the DEVs are saying that Publish 7 is the Droid Invasion (or at least, the first part). So if we're going to yell at them about keeping their word, let's make THAT our focus point while they still havea chance to keep it. When they ask, "What droid modules would you like to see in Publish 7," responding with "You said they would be in Publish 6" is just plain and simply not going to get us anywhere.

Ok, I'm done, signing out, moving on... have fun. I'll see you in the constructive threads.

They cited the "January Patch" for bounty hunters too.

I was a master bounty hunter for a week...then read that their droids STILL weren't getting fixed and quit that profession.

I bumped the official JustG explanation back to the top.

Sure wish they would stay consistent with the communication....

Can we please just let this go? It's all been said so many times before...

Sothe DEVs made another promise that they didn't keep (I'm not going to go in to my opinion on this matter as I've done it in several other threads already). There's no point in bringing it up anymore, We know they screwed up. They know they screwed up. We know they know and they know we know. Drop it. Let's try to move forward instead of continuing to look back.

Please?

There are things that I know that I know. There are things that I know that I don't know. And there are the things that I don't know that I don't know. It's not the known unknowns that worry me....it's the UNknown unknowns that keep me up at night.

Is that weird?

Yeah, let's relax a bit on JustG....

"DE's are at the top of the list. Its taking a little bit longer because the game systems that run droids are all attached to fundamental game systems." - Thunderheart, 11-13-03

Oh wait, that's an even earlier post than JustG's and still just as misleading...

It's more than just moving on. This goes back to beta...back to when we were all still reading the forums when this game was being made. The Devs have notoriously promised great changes and exciting sounding additions to the game with very little success IMO.

In business if I tell a client that I willhave his/her producton the 5th but don't do it until the 20th...how long do you think I stay in business. If an attorney tells his client to meet him for trial on September 1st but doesn't tell his client that trial was moved to October 9th....how well do you think that client is gonna take it WITHOUT BEING TOLD ANYTHING? It's a simple business courtesy to let your client know what is going on with CONSTANT communication...three posts a day (if that) is NOT communication.

This is a deeper problem that somehow has been excused for the "sake of game" in ALL mmo's. We excuse the lack ofgood communicationor faulty game design to be excused, because well we no nothing about it and it is probably very hard to do...they'll get it right eventually...right?

As a software engineer I completely understand the in's and out's of the everchanging base of programming and design of a product. I do it every day and have thousands of demanding clients. But my word is what keeps me in business. If I tell my client their database will be ready in 6 weeks and there is a hold up in my work, I email them, write them, call them to let them know WEEKS/DAYS before I miss my previous deadline. I do those courtesy calls from home sometimes just so they know when is GOING ON.

So where do we draw the line and say enough is enough...and how do we get them to respond to NOT JUST DE's, but all of us for God's sake. TH posts maybe 3 times a day at most...he was suppose to be our liason...now he is too busy to even adequately respond here.

This is not a mindless rant aimed at making people more angry than we already are. It is a plea for the Devs to wake up!
