Thread: More ships needing astromechs!

Today's Friday Feature just basically listed the new ships mentioned in the recent Gamespot article. However, it also listed some specs, and two of the brand new designs use astromech droids! (And, of course, two of the modified designs too.) Hopefully we see some more business around release, even if it's temporary. I much prefer selling droids than flight computers.

People will just use their current droids though.

We might see an in-flux from new business, however. I wouldn't suspect the impact to be gigantic (or long-lasting, without decay).

lol, I MAKE them and I don't understand them.

I still remember my first astromech order. It was from a member of what is now, but not at the time, my guild that I'm in, and she wanted a bunch of astromechs for some of the guild members. Astromechs had just been introduced, and I told her "I never made one, this might take a bit", and she was very patient, and I was looking through my schematics like "WHERE THE HELL IS THE ASTROMECH MODULE?!" lol. Good times. Then I like, logged out, ran to the boards real quick, saw that it was actually data mods, and I was like "Oh, I forgot about those, I've been so used to overlooking them when I make droids", got back on, and completed my order

But since they say Rage of the Wookies will come with a free JTL, we may see a slight increase with people that never bothered with JTL taking there first tentative steps into orbit.

I do too, cuz I add 10 item storage to the Adv R5's and charge them 5K more than for a same-level Flight Computer. Hey, the only ones who complain are the Imps and Pirates; my Rebels love 'em for their Z95's, YWings and Xwings.

[Edit: The only problem I've come across is someone who is still toting around that Green R-series starter droid and swears he's only got 4 droids! lol. I've discounted my Astromech sometimes as much as 1K to get them to just delete it. lol]

I was really hoping that JTL would have had more Astromech enabled ships (i.e. the neutral ones) or the devs would have made some of the current Astromech enabled ones available to all pilot trees (Z95 and Y-Wing for example since these both pre-date the GCW - although I'm fairly sure the Z95 shouldnt have the droid socket mainly because it should have a hyperdrive!)
