Is there a loss in quality when creating DE items (specifically, quality modules) in a factory versus hand crafting?
Case in point:
On Bria, there are 3 materials I'm using to create harvester mods Copper (CD 1000, OQ 990), Steel (CD 848, OQ 778), Inert Gas (OQ 998). These are the best possible resources on Bria. When I handcraft 6 modules (assuming I can max out effectiveness on each), I can build an R3 that hasa harvester rating of 111. When I create a manufacturing schematic for that harvester mod (same resources, full effectiveness) and assemble the R3 unit, I only get a harv rating of 110. As far as I can tell, I've done everything exactly the same, except factory run the harv mods. Thoughts?

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking about the decimal point earlier. With a slightly lesser steel (40 points less, when OQ and CD are added), it yields a 110 all the time on full effiiciency. I know the hidden decimal is what drove the better steel to the 111 overall rating. I experimented all the way on the efficiency line (didn't get an amazing success, but still was able to complete the line exp). I was just wondering if there was a slight loss in factory production thatdrove the VERY close decimal down to a 110. Since I'll need to hand craft any 111's I get orders for, I'll eventually hit an amazing success when creating the modules and then create the schematic and conduct the test you mentioned.

There shouldn't be anything like this, however...
When you craft an item, it may say Harvesting rating 18, but it really may be 18.2 or another decimal figure. So it's possible that when you hand crafted them you got better then the low 18 you used for your factory.
My advice is to get an Amazing success on assembly, exp all the way up. Put the schem in the factory. After it makes 6 of them, stop it, then put them together and test the droid. If they were good make the full run, this stops you from wasting the full set of resources.
