The Dev's, via the crafting profession correspondents, HAVE to know about the uproar with what they are doing with the CU andtotally upsetting the crafting community........could it be POSSIBLE that they will release the CU and expansion and then get right to work on fixing all the crafting issues brought on by the CU?
Could it be that we just "suck it up" (for awhile longer)for a few months while they iron all the crafting issues post-CU?
Could this be possible?
Or do I still have my "rose colored glasses" on?

If that was the plan, one would think they would say so.

They are aware. Anything is possible, but we're still pushing for some kind of resolution before the CU goes live.

So what you're basically saying is, they are causing a whole bunch of issue with the game by releasing a system. They are then going to go right back and mop up those issues which could only really reverse some of the things they did in the first place. I hardly see this as logical, why not just make a combat system that is fun and makes sense, but isn't derogatory to the overall game in the first place?

As far as i remember it was planned like this. TH stated that they would do the CU first, then some crafting "revamps".
If they planned to do the crafting revamp as bug-fixes i dont know, but makes the most sense. In fact, the revamps as "silver lining" at the horizon stopped myself from ranting to much about broken stuff in the last time (harvesting droids...) as i hope that they use their resources now to make a good CU, then get right on the stuff they ignored for too long.

When you put it that way, I guess that's kinda what Im saying, and I agree wholeheartedly it's not logical.
In order to fix combat balance which is what most complaintshave beenabout the last year or so, and the fact that combatants make up the lions share of the population....they end up"FUBAR"ing all crafting, in order to "fix" combat. I think they probably didthe CUwith the primary focus on balancing combat, and not really paying ANY attention to the crafting professions.
Now..........when CU goes live, and they "tweak" the CU until it is "balanced"......THEN they look at the rest of us and see what a total mess they have made to our "ingame' lives.
Then the "fixing" of our lives should begin...........and MAYBE (read likely)in order to fix some of the things they did to screw us, they'll have to undo or change things associated with the CU......this could either be a "Catch 22" or constant back-and-forth with all the issues between combatants, the CU,and crafters.
I honestly don't think we've been forgotten, but I do believe it may be awhile until they get around to making us happy again.

At the end of the day SoE isnt in it for the pleasure of it, theyre after the money. with ep III coming up they want to take advantage of this cash cow as much as possible, which means pushing new stuff out to entice new players.
Its not good for us but buisness wise it seems the most logical route
