Thread: Module idea: Creature repellant

How about a module that has the ability to repel creatures? IRL you can buy gadgets that emit ultrasound to scare dogs and pests - how about something similar to aid crafters in the field? Pop out your droid, turn on the feature, and mobs will be more inclined to leave you alone. Or perhaps it could set up a repellant field similar to those in ranger camps. It could be a nice non-combat way of making field work much easier. Granted, this could have some spill-over into combat, say a combatant gets in over his head and needs help to escape a mob - whether or not you would want to allow this is questionable, so perhaps it would not be effective if a mob has already aggroed you.

I think something like this in a limited fashion would be very cool.

Or a module that offers a limited range force field a la the kind that the larger camps are supposed to have. Stick 1 (or more if it was deemed applicable to be stackable) in a "crafters bodyguard" droid. As long as you stay in the radius that's protected, it'll keep the beasties at bay. Ranged attacks however, hopefully your PSG can offer you enough time to high tail it out of there.
