This would be more geared toward commandos, butI had an idea for a module that a commando could use, by putting grenades in it, and telling the droid to fire the mortar at a certain target, a puff of smoke will apear from the droid's body and the grenade will directly hit the target, and if splash damage is implemented post CU, it could be very usefull attacking an enemy base in the GCW, breaking up clusters of players or NPC's, or both. Basically it would make any droid a short range mobileartillery, and perhaps a range and damage bonus when the module is used in a BLL.
and to keep people from always needing a droid to throw a nade (like scout trap modules arent as good as normal ones) the mortar would have a minimum range, so a TKM, fencer, or swordsman would pwn it, along with most creatures. And it would also be best used in GCW in base attack, perhaps also giving it an added bonus vs structures so that the droid can strike the turrets from just outside of their range, but remember, it runs off of either special rounds made by a WS, or by commando certed grenades, so it cant keep firing forever.

ummm mortars are blind fire weapons lol... they are used as supressive fire while more precise artillery is used. The droid would definatly have a low chance of a direct hit.

Yea Tytack, we actually worked with the Commandos a little while back, basically it was like the trap tossing module, but threw grenades. Their Corr sent it up, but we never heard about it again.
Cool idea though.
