It's not much, but it shows they acknowledge there are issues......

Thanks - things have been crazy. Tiggs is in Indy and I'm here at the ranch. It is important that we get out and seethe fans and get all of this information to the devs and that hasn't left too much time for posting, and for that, I'm sorry.
We are pulling all the information from bug threads, focus threads, feedback threads, exit pollsand a great many things you post.The information we are reporting has gone to affect many changes (some of which you should be seeing this weekend like the AT-STs,combat pacing and other items). We are also working with the teamto put together a great many communications on all of the things you want to know about: the future of the immediate changes to the combat system, entertainers, rangers, squad leaders, crafters - - all of these issues are getting read and reported on. We will have more and more information for you in the coming weeks.

Anyway, I know they've been insanely busy with basic CU stuff the past couple weeks, but they are working on some crafter issues as well. Still working on trying to get more detailed info for you guys, and I'm going to be pestering Tiggs about it tomorrow morning at the breakfast.

Hehe, I'm kind of glad that the Fanfest I am going to isn't until June, if it was this weekend, it would probably be a lot less fun. Not that telling people how you feel isn't fun, but it's really hard to pretend an issue doesn't exist when somebody is standing in front of you.

Well maybe we can have publish 22: Droids Revisited sometime in the future... when all the droids will be retooled to fit the new (and possibly at that time once again obsolete
) system......?
Oh well, I was a DE back when droids were mostly harmless anyways, its not like I cant switch back to utility droids once again.
It was nice to have droids that could play a part in the game for a while, but I just dont see where they're paying attention.... I mean, 1 word, to encompass ALL crafters?
/shrug maybe I'm a little pessimistic since they cancelled our conversion server

If a dictonary of all SWG terms was made, it should read on DE..

If you guys are holding out hope for DEs based on these kind of quotes, you and SOE deserve each other.

Yea, your probably right, but at this point they have ignored us for so long, even one word acknowledging we eixist makes us happy. Sad isn't it.

The only way I can see them "fixing" the level system paradigm abomination is a variance of something a drunken armorsmith posted.
Either remove skill point requirementsfor crafters (his original frustrated suggestion), or simply give every character 250 combat "skill points" and 250 non-combat "skill points".
That way we would be able to take a few weeks to grind up to the point we could wear some sort of semi-useless armor, not get 1 shotted more than half the time, and also not be forced to group to do such incredibly dangerous and life-threateningly riskytasks as walking to the shuttleport from your house in a player city - on Naboo.
Of course, that may shatter what little player-driven economy isleft and completely devalue crafter professions and destroy the original concept of cross-profession support, but since most 100% combat only players have very short attention spans anyway, there's a chance that few would take full advantage of it. Plus I'm sure since most of the original concept of our professions are being diminished or being thrown out the window because of how difficult they are for EQ II devs to understand anyway, this may be just right up their alley.
Please excuse the venom in the prior paragraph, but I can't help but think that the dev team they have on the CU simply hates SWG. Seriously. I get the feeling they truly hate and loathe SWG and crafters in particular. But that could just be the whiskey talking..
