Hello all,
I am fairly new to the DE business and have had requests lately for astromech's for space.
The only thing for space that I have made and sold so far are the flight computers.
I have read the DE 101 post and the JTL Droid guide, but am still REALLY confused about how to

I have read the DE 101 post and the JTL Droid guide, but am still REALLY confused about how to
make a space droid. Do I have to work in conjunction with a shipwright to make a proper space droid?
I hate to be sooo newbish, but can some one break down making a space astro droid, step by step for me here in this post?
I can't even tell you how much I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

An Astromech is an R2, R3, R4 or R5, either normal or advanced. They should all be pretty straight forward to make (but the Adv R2 and R3 need factory made parts).
The bit that makes them useful to a pilot is the data module that you need to include.
A data modules level relates to a pilots droid cert level, eg. a Level 2 data mod is for a Level 2 pilot cert (just be sure not to experiment on the data modules too much; for example a high quality 'Level 2' may end up as a 'Level 3' due to a higher data rating).
You need to place the data module into the droid on the final craft of the deed. Once the droid is made, it will display the pilot cert level needed to use the droid in a ship.

Ok, so simply making an astromech with a certain level Data mod is all that I have to do?
From there, the pilots can use it for storing piloting data?
If this is the case, it appears that I'm making it more difficullt than it really is.
