Thread: BH Droids Buged? Story inside
alright, I spoke to a BH that was interested in buying some BH droids, thats your seeker and arakyds ((or how ever you spell them))
Anyways he wasn't sure how to use them, though he is a master BH, I went and made him a few samples for free..
When he tried them, they didn't work, so he got a probot combat droid thinking well this should be it.
It still didn't work, he says he has a mission, though this is to hunt a PC Jedi, not an NPC. *sigh*
Now I am terrible, because I have never played a BH before..I have no clue how exactly the BH droids work
do BH droids not work for PC missions anymore? or are they just not working in general?

So I got a little worried
Since Iused to be a Master DE and am now a Master BH let me clarify how they are used just fyi:
1). The BH goes to a BH terminal and selects a mission. Kadaara is very popular for this because the terminals are close to the spynet folks and close to the edge of the city - which matters as you will see below.
2). Once they have selected their mission (Jedi are all even values, odd values are NPCs), they go to the right spynet rep (it varies by the BHs Investigation level and there are separate ones for Master BHs (See the BH forums for a list of waypoints by level and city)). In Kadaara thats about 100m from the terminals. They talk to the Spynet rep, then they jump on their vehicles and head outside the city zone.
3). Once well outside the city zone, they open their inventory and select the option to search and locate their target from the radial menu on the Arakyd droid. It lets them know if they are not far enough outside the city. If they are they receive a notice that the probe droid will be here in 20s. At 5s they get a 5s countdown, and then the droid impacts somewhere nearby. They pan around to find the droid, drive over to it and click on its radial menu to get the option to give the biosignature code they got from the Spynet guy and the droid will take off into space a few seconds later. No need for the BH to wait around so they just head for the starport.
4). About a minute or so later one of 2 things happens, either they are told the planet their mark is on, or they are told they will receive an updated waypoint. In the former case they go to the planet that was returned, in the later the mark is on their current planet and interplanetary travel is not necessary. A third option is that their target is on Kashyyyk (notes below).
5). If they have to travel to another planet they do, if not they don't
The BH then releases a Seeker droid which will track the mark. it takes a few seconds to report in, perhaps a minute or so, but then gives you a waypoint to the targets location. If the mark is moving, this waypoint will update. Sometimes its nearby and you can just drive there, sometimes you need to switch cities or take a shuttle. Sometimes the Seeker loses the target and you need to use another one.
If the mark is on Kashyyyk, you need to travel their by actually launching your ship into space, clicking on H for Hyperspace and electing to head to Kashyyyk, where none of your droids will work at all. This is where most Jedi are to be found and its a lot of hassle to find them there.
Hope that helps. At MBH I generally use 1 Arakyd and 1 Seeker per NPC hunt and usually a few Seekers and possibly a second Arakyd if a Jedi target starts planet hopping. Thats why its useful to be able to buy both by the crate. I usuallly carry around a crate or two of either. Usually a Jedi is simply in a house, not moving (10%), or with a group hunting on some planet (20%), or on Kashyyyk (70%) within my limited experience.
I am sure some more experienced BHs might add more to this summary but that ought to help you understand how they are used.

Just cause I dont want any confusion...Jedi values range from 25k-226k atm depending on how many skill points they have invested in jedi skills ( they can be ANY amount in even thousands....25k....131k....220k...ect )
NPC missions range from whatever the low level missions are atm..prolly like around 10k to Master lvl misions given I have seen as high as 33ksome can also be ANY amount in that range
