I have a customer who says she is getting no attack option on her programming of a combat droid she bought from me. It's a lvl 30 R3 with max combat rating. She is lvl 15. Are there any restrictions, or is it some kind of bug?

Another bug. May not be fixable either. Personally, I would swap it out for one you know works.

Was the droid made pre-patch 18. If it was then thats your problem. If you make a fresh one you just need a level 6 Armor and one Combat module to make it able to attack.

There should NOT be a problem with that. It is a bug. My level 15 char can use a CL 30 Probot with a combat module. Atleast, he could last time I checked lol. Anyways, anyone can use any droid, as far as I know.

Also, having combat droids on a vendor apparently makes their "attack" and "guard" commands go away. Most of us have yanked our combat droids off our vendors because of that.

Definitely possible .. My Level 1 crafters have their bodyguard droids working for them. And I seem to have more fun sending them off to attack than I do with my combat characters. The down side to this is that I find I end up walking to the harvesters so that my droids can keep up. My Level 11 (now) character uses the droids to kill high level critters (15+) so she can harvest their carcasses so I have some fun that way too.
Note though that if you are lower level than the droid do NOT group with it or the droid will not last 5 seconds. I learnt this first hand .. *laughs* Things definitely fare better while ungrouped.

From my understanding, someone buying a combat droid off a vendor will cause this bug. Others have also stated its pre publish 18 droids that this also affects.

I think more specifically it's pre-18 droids that were in deed form, not in crates or already in the datapad. Most of those deeds just happened to be on vendors.
Post-18 droids on vendors should be fine... afaik.

Do the Devs plan to fix any of the bugs on the droids in vendors during the next Publish? Are they going to fix any bugs (DE related) in the next Publish?

Crazy, I missed that bug. So does that mean if ppl buy them they go bad or just putting them on the vendor makes them go bad? Like will removing them make them workable? or should I just trash them all? (glad I dont have many on right now)
