Today I bought a Probot Droid. I have worked out how to make it follow, stay, attack, group. Are there other things i can do with my droid i.e. buy it a better weapons system, armour, etc. And how can I get his batteries to last longer, they only seem to last 10 minutes or so.

Any help/tips will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, what you see is what you get. :-/

Hopefully, if the devs pull through for us after all, we'll see improved combat capabilities in January.

And the battery thing is pretty much a universal annoyance.

I'm slowly learning how to use my probot droid that someone gave to me for free but I have a few questions:

1.) I finally found out I needed a battery and I bought one and recharged my Probot,

How long does the battry last?

2.) I know that to get my Probot to do anything, I have to say commands to it while having no other player, not even the droid selected. But the radial menu commands that are the same will do nothing.

Why is this?

3.) Can these Probots hold items for you? How do I get it to hold items and how many can it hold?

4.) How much money are these Probots worth?

5.) How powerful are these droids, I have yet to use it in battle for fear of losing it?

6.) and most importantly, how do I get my probot to make that cool noise like in the movie on Hoth I beleive before it is shot down?

Thank you very much for your help,

1. not sure

2. Radial menus are for reprogramming the droid

3. Some might be able to, most don't

4. Very low

5.has trouble with durni-and with leve 6 armor

6. No clue in the world if it even can.

1.) Don't know about an exact time. I've only charged mine once so far.

2.) I was in the middle of nowhere with just the droid called. Then I used the radial menu 'program' option and chose a command, then I said what I wanted it to be called and the command.

So I said "Reeve follow" and then "Reeve attack" etc etc for the different commands. Eventually it learnt that its name was Reeve and now I can just say the command by itself. Once it's taught it doesn't need teaching again

3.) It needs a special module for this. I think the module I saw can hold 10 items. Waste of a Probot tbh.

4.) I bought mine for 25k with armour, crafting module and healing module with 100 effectiveness. Allows me to experiment on crafting anywhere and heal myself (even wounds) anywhere but the Cantina.

5.) Mine has 825 on all HAM. It can take out smaller creatures easily and it keeps its distance and shoots for larger ones. It seems tough enough as long as you're careful.

6.) Mine just does it itself...

Hope that helps

thanks.

ooooooh, i have to train the **edit** thing. I get it now.The radial menu is to allow for training.

So can I name it? It has actually done a few commands I wanted it to do without me naming it, but I'd rather give it a name since it will be helping me out.

Mine has 3k ham. Its armor and resistances arn't as good as current ones, and I don't know what the other differences are. By the way, it is a first generation probot(made in july).

a) Batteries don't last long in a prolonged fight. I have found that putting a new battery in every time I pull it out helps a lot.

b) Yes, you can name it. Just train 4 commands with a name in it like "droid s" for store. After the 4th comand is learned, it will be named. Now, don't forget to retrain those 4 things otherwise the commands will stay "droid s" instead of "s".

c) Every time I pull my droid out it says the programming has fadded away. Thisis not true. Just give it a battery and away you go.

On this note, what kind of droids can be used by a non droid tech?

I know with pets the selection is rather low without CH.

Ok,

How to Program a droid (without a personality chip):

1 Select a command from the radial menu. Example: Attack

2 The droid says "?"

3 You say "a"

4 Droid says "!"

5 The droid will now respond to "a" by attacking your target.

Naming your droid: Similar to the above except that you add a name into the command line. Droid names may consist of letters and "-". No spaces or numbers. On average, you need to input 3 commands with a name to get the droid's name to change. Example:

1 You select "Attack" from the radial menu.

2 Droid says "?"

3 You say "Bozo attack"

4 Droid says "!"

5 You repeat this process with 2-3 different commands and the droid's name changes. If it does not, then the name you are trying to give the droid is either too long, has unacceptable character or is filtered.

Probots are crap. They do about one-twentieth the damage to a PC that the PC would get to himself by getting his pet to do a trick.

Probots can be helpful in keeping mobs off of you for a short (and I mean short) period of time. Teach it the guard command and use it, so if you get extra aggro your bot will turn and shoot the mob. Most mobs will attack the bot because it had damaged it, and you get enough time to maneuver around to take out the mob. Realize that the droid will get damaged, and will most likely have to just regen in your datapad. Also don't expect the droid to do hardly any damage to the mob.
