Yeah, this is one of those "/duh!" issues that should have been changed. If the Survey Droid is not going to report stats - which limits its usefulness - then it should not consume a survey tool when used.

well there's that, AND the 25-50 mins wait
on a side note here are some experimental #s
75% quality and 42% count gives you 7 charges that take 26 mins
75% count and 35% quality gives you 12 charges but takes 43 mins
personally ill stick with 7 charges/26 mins, thats already too damn long

Customer viewpoint: I'd rather have a stack of 12 uses that reports back in 45 minutes than a stack of 7 uses that reports in 30.
Reason being, that's time I was just gonna be crafting or whatever anyway. I'm not gonna be using these droids when I'm in a hurry, it's just something convenient for me to do while I take care of other tasks. A stack of 12 will last me almost twice as long as a stack of 7. Consider crate prices, and if I can get 2x the uses for the same price, I'll take the uses.
However the quicker ones will create more business for you short term.... I dunno, maybe both styles will be in demand.
By the way, I love these droids.

im sure well have both types of customers but my first factory run is 7 charges/26 mins
now what the hell do we charge for these???

it sucks, but at least it's a cheap sub-component to craft, and if you're a de, you can do it yourself.
Another customer viewpoint: I'd buy single use droids if they reported back verah quickly (for using when I am trying to find where else a known resource exists), but I would probably buy more multi-charge slow reporters and just send one out when i log on.

I am your customer. I have a question and a comment.
Question: The scout droid requires novice scout, does the survey droid require novice artisan?
Comment: Novice artisan takes 15sp, I can't spare that. I'll buy that droid 12charges 7 charges makes no difference.Just my thoughts on that.

I'm sure this is similar to the price gouging as we had with the Kash armor when it went live, but I paid 10k for a stack of 12.

Wow, I never thought I'd say this EVER. Start putting survey tools in crates on your vendor. Its like batteries, artisan made, for DE's. MORE consummables not less.

/agree sell crates of survey tools.
Also, since people are probably going to use these to get a survey of all the planets, maybe it makes sense to crate them in multiples of 9? (10 planets minus the one you're on).
