I am a level 1 crafter and use my probot to guard me. It is rated at 61-284 (standard). Now I noticed tonight that if I tell the probot to engage anything 10+ levels below him, he hits the target for 284 dmg - as long as he stays in ranged combat. As soon as the target closes to melee range, the probot dmg falls to 50 dmg. This has happened consistently.

Is this a bug or is this the way its supposed to work? I'll have a bash at making another type of combat droid to see if it does the same, but perhaps someone already knows?

Its a known bug that affects probots. It does not affect the R-series or LE droids, and I can't remember off the top of my head whether it affects DZ70's or not.

I wonder if it has to do with the fact that we can't switch the probot from ranged to melee. Man, I hope this gets fixed sometime in the near future...
