Thread: Armor Modules
Can anyone relate to me whether or not the Armor modules actually work? Is it a waste of time to put in an expensive armor module over no armor module at all? Thanks.
Yeah, they're completely broken right now.
I'll still put them in occasionally, on the hope that they'll work again someday.
I'd at least put in armor 3 or 4 because some day armor might be reinstated and the resource cost on most of the armor modules is neg.
For any questions regarding schematics, may I recommend SWGCRAFT? Search out 'Droid Armor Module' in the schematics section, you'll see six entries for the levels.

Hm....
I think I'm doing something wrong, so I wanted to post and see if you guys had any ideas.
I've tested 3 R3 Combat Droids. 2 had 2 level 6 armor modules stacked and 1 had 2 level 4 armor modules stacked.
Both droids came out with 20% resists for their armor. Is this a bug with the Publish or am I missing something?
Thanks for the heads up... I've been trying to get some composite plates together and now I will approach this cautiously.
The way it should work is that two Level 4's equals one Level 6, and therefore max resistance. You only need to use a single Level 6 to get the max.
There is some confusion atm as there is a bug with the resistance shifting back to 40% after being called when it should be 20%. The max should be 20% and you only need one Level 6 to get that. Using two won't get you 40%.
I think what people are referring to is 2 x Level 4 = 1 x Level 6 which is enough to maximise the droid if they do a retroactive correction on the armor effectivenss.
Personally I use Level 4 modules full stop but then this level of protection is reflected by the cost which would change if a Level 6 were to be used instead. But then thats me.
