Thread: question about the R3s units

I bought a R3 unit with attack and auto healing mods pre-CU..... before this unit used to shot a lazer, but now all it does is melee.... is there anything wrong with this droid?

Not with your particular droid, no. But there is a bug somewhere with all the Astromechs, as if you look at the Program Radial, it will show a Range Toggle that you can programa command into, but it does not work.


So in short Astromechs are bugged and only attack in melee range.

That 'used' to be soooo cool to see! I always thought of jedi force lightning!


But yeah, only melee now.

It appears that all combat droids lost their ability to switch from melee to ranged, so they stick with their default attack modes. Even the probot has some issue with entering melee (its default is ranged), where it gets its motivators handed to it by the target if it does. Personally I think this behavior has something to do with this toggle not working.

And I seriously doubt we're going to see a fix for this until our profession gets another overhaul.
