Thread: Detonation Module Experimentation

I'm a newly mastered DE on my alt and today I went out and bought some really good quality resources to craft some bomb droids for my BH. When I was crafting the detonation modules, I cannot for the life of me get them to experiment above 88% for detonation power (8). I'm using OQ 967 Inert Gas, OQ 954 Cond 826 Copper, and OQ 930 Tolium Reactive Gas. For skill mods I have +21 to DE experimentation suit, and +24 experimentation food. No matter what I do, or how many amazing successes I get, it simply wont go higher, do I have to have perfect resources to do better?
Edit, forgot to mention, I was using a perfect 15 pt crafting tool, standing in front of a 44.9 crafting station in a research center player city.

I don't make bomb droids (that's droid abuse) but did you have the DE buff? That can help.
-edit- and have you put together a DE experimentation suit? Two additional experimentation points if your resources will allow the space.

From the resources you listed, the 88% looks to bea pretty good result. Best bet would be to try and find some better OQ/CD Copper, the gasses look as close to perfect as can be expected, if you can find better, use them. Detonation power 8 is not bad, I have been able to make det power 9 modules once due to a guildmate providing some great resources. I doubt you (or anyone) will be able to make perfect power 10s without the use of a resource deed, and that would be a waste.

Thanks for the info, I'll see what I can do to get some better copper. And yes, I do agree, a resource deed would be a waste for this.

I actually did use a resource deed for bomb droids, and made more money than I'd have got selling it - of course, it all depends on what the deeds go for on your server, but on FarStar they go for about 3.5 - 4 million.
I use OQ 923 Tolium, OQ 997 Inert Gase and OQ/Cond 951/954 Copper. I get "9.xxxx" for a total R3 value of 58.

Good to know, seems like I just need higher conductivity on my copper.

use Eweodehi(copper) Oopliite(inert) Nonaglaret(tolium)= 10 power
Get a buff and use the foods and you will get it, I did i find this info on a thread here so search a bit and you will find a lot of helpfull info in this forums(which i apreciate a lot am new at DE too)

just tested a 56 detonation droid i madeon a mls/me jedi (no defender). it did 800 dmg
is it really worth it???

Probably not. But if it sells, I'll make it... I'm a smuggler, and I've never actually used a bomb droid for a practical purpose... mainly just to see the explosion

Yes it is worth it. There are a lot of factors that determine how much damage the droid does, how far away he was, what type of inate armor the Jedi has plays a role as well. A Master Enhancer has Force Armor on.
It's not a matter of how much damage can be done as the fact that damage is done at the same time as your normal damage. For example, get a Jedi to half health. Then mezz him so he can't move or do anything. Star your droid ticking, then right as it explodes use BH advanced critical on him. With the droid and your shot you can incap him.
If you just send the droid in and let it blow, no it wont be a factor, however, if you use tactics and are hitting him at the same time, it can make a big difference.
