Thread: Consistency in SWG

Since SWG is supposed to be consistent to the Star Wars Universe..


Why is it that a Tattoine Farm Boy can use two droids and a Master Droid Engineer can only use one?

That same farm boy was also one out of three Jedi in the entire galaxy.


How's that for consistency?

Our only hope is that someday they figure a way to differentiate between a droid containing combat modules and one that doesnt. Then they could allow multiple droid calls of only non-combat droids. Unless someone can think of how that could be exploited?...

Well, the argument against that is detonation or repair droids.


But right now, I'd really rather be able to experimentwith my droids abilitiesthan have more than one out at a time...

There are arguments for both. It would be nice to have 3 droids out at once, *And* it would be nice to be able to experiment on the final combine to improve health. Both are valid arguments about this profession and things we would like to see changed. Just always be careful what you ask for. I don't remember it because I didn't use anything but the stickies back when I started but from what I have heard, and the old timers can explain further, it was asked before to have a droid handler type profession, either in with DE or separate, not for sure which, or to have the crafting fixed. Most choose crafting, which I would have too BTW. Where are we now? Same place but a little better off. As for experimentation... What if they gave it to us? Everything! All components made a difference when experimented on. Brains, motives, sensors, man. arms, armor, combat, effects... everything. Every part we make could be made better than the standard it is now. We would have a worse mess than we do now. The price of droids would go through the roof because it would take super resources for everything. Since some see them more hassle then help, sales could be near nothing and most of us would be out of business. I would love to have it back to Adv. Probots with 5 combat mods being the strongest fighters, and seeing the health go up when experimenting on the final combine of the droid, but I sure don't want experimentation to effect everything. Pretty sure they wouldn't go that route, but look at the CH publish and how they KNEW it killed all droid extra features. That should have NEVER been pushed through... but it was.


So I only ask... watch what you ask for. Anything that helps us would be good. Multiple droids, more chassis, more mods, final combine experimentation, stacking combat mods, mods that actually 'help' other professions... any of these would help us and expand our profession and our 'usefulness' in the community. I sure wouldn't knock more chassis because I wanted something else instead. Personally I would rather see no-combat R-series, more combat chassis, more mods, higher droid datapad limits & calling multiple droids above having experimentation effect more. I sure wouldn't get mad if they made the final combine effected. I would be if everything was effected though, and I have a nice stockpile of 900-1000 quality resources. Only millionaires could get into DE if you needed great resources for everything.



Just my two-cents worth, and yes, that is about all it is worth!
