Thread: A new system for droids that will make PVP more inetresting
Protocol droid= Translation module, Data Storage Module, structure communications module (this is somthing i think should be added... C3PO had the ability to speak with moisture vaporators in episode 1. i think a protocol droid could manage the machinery (any harvester) to maximize output... this addition to the base pull rate would be determined by the skill of the crafter and the resources used. in effect, with somthing monitoring the equipment at all times the output would be higher. this module would degrade by a rate of 20% each week regardless of whether or not it is used in a machine!)
surgical droids= the only droid that can take a "surgical module" which would allow the slow healing of wounds in the field without a doctor present. would increase the duration of doc buffs.
Probot= (can be outfitted with various weapons made by a weaponsmith to give a variety of effects) these droids EXPAND the range at which the player can survey. I think this because the PROBE droid is meant to PROBE remote planets and scout the areas for resources and life. The probot would nothave any more life than it does now, but it would be far more powerful when fitted with a two shot rocket launcher (making it effective at skirmishing a faction base before an actual assault can begin). The droid could also scout for and sample 1 unit of a chosen resource and then return to the owners launching point. The weapons on this droid would be used if the droid falls under attack. ((this droid would not require batteries in the regular sense, but rather some sort of fuel))
DREAM DROID
1. Combat Droid MK1= this droid would be used purely for combat and combat only. This droid would be an effective fighting unit against low level creatures and usable by any combat profession. (the current combat droids but with a new chassis and maybe enhanced armor).
2. Combat Droid MK2= (Restricted to thosewho are droid engineers and/or master artisan's. A weapon of up to CL25 could be installed and used by the droid. this droid is slightly better armored than its predescessor and can also have the ability repair ONLY its own weapons at a cost of 33% to the overall condition of the weapon. Once a weapon is installed it can not be reclaimed.
3. Combat Droid MK3= (restricted to droid engineers) This droid would utilize advanced armors and weapons. It could be crafted with any rifle or carbine of the engineers choosing that does not exceed CL54. it would also have the ability to repair ONLY its own weapons at a rate of 25% of the overall condition.
4. Heavy Assault Droid= (restricted to MASTER droid engineer) This droid is the pinnacle of droid assault technology. It can be outfitted with a single shot rocket launcher (which the droid engineer can reload WHEN NOT IN BATTLE!). it can also use grenades, and ANY heavy weapon of the engineers choosing. this droid is heavily armored and would be afine addition to any group in either PVP or PVE. This droid would be a treaded vehicle that is immune to ALL DoTs including fire and also immune to knockdown and dizzy. It's only vulnerability would be stun damage (such as the jawa ion rifle). It is my belief that the existence of this droid would force other player into involving strategy into PVP combat. A tank like machine only usable by Master DE's could be seen as a "Base Assault" vehicle. it can repair its own weapons at a cost of 10% of their overall condition.
all combat droids would decay by a rate of 10% each time they die. This amount can not be restored.
