Thread: Forum Moderators, can you answer 1 simple complex question?
Ok, first of all, the moderators have nothing to do with the development process, they're just here to keep things somewhat civilized. There are a few conduits of information we've got, first and formost is our correspondent, he essentially sums up everything we say and hands it over to TH. Second is the various droid posts on in-concept/in-development/in-testing boards. These are focused on certain issues and read through by the devs. Finally some of the devs do like to lurk, so they read a lot of this stuff for themselves.
I wouldn't say that the devs hate our profession, as thats really nonsense. They want the game to be fun for everyone (as fun = success = money). The problem we face most of the time is that droids are difficult to work with, because they really do touch on a little bit of everything in game. Combat droids specifically pose a problem since they all must be under CL 10 (this isn't because they hate us, its because thats the way things are set up). BE's are easier because they can make the range of experimentation much broader and just increase the CL. Since all droids are under CL10, they have to balance out the amount we can experiment versus the net results. They don't have it right yet, but hopefully it will change.

No, the correspondants are our primary line of communication to the DEV team. The moderators have nothing to do with the DEV team.
